ITINERARY

1st Day: In Huánuco City Tour We’ll visit the main points of interest of Huanuco, such as the main square, the cathedral, the mausoleum of Daniel Alomía Robles, the world-famous melody El cóndor pasa (The Condor Passes By), composed by this great Peruvian musician, the Calicanto bridge constructed in 1789 by Santo Benedetti Landini, we’ll see the house of Leoncio Prado Gutierrez, a military man from Huanuco who fought in the guerrilla war against the Spanish in Cuba and the Philippines.

 2nd Day: We’ll board our minibus and travel to one of the most picturesque villages in this side of Huanuco, Hacienda Cachigaga. At this large rural farm we’ll learn how the trapiche, a mill used to extract juice from sugar canes, Tomayquichua Town, where we can find the House of María Micaela Villegas y Hurtado de Mendoza, Peruvian actress, better known as «La Perricholi» 

3rd Day: We’ll pick you up at your hotel and take you to Tingo María National Park, located south of the city of the same name. This natural reserve covers an area of 4,777 hectares of jungle vegetation and includes the mountain range known as La Bella Durmiente (Sleeping Beauty), as well as a system of subway caverns; Cueva de Las Lechuzas (Cave of the Owls), a karstic cavern formed by stalactites and stalagmites that houses unexplored galleries; Aguas Sulfurosas natural spa, a thermal complex known for the healing properties of its waters; return to your hotel in Huanuco City.

4th Day: Free day in the city, main streets, handicrafts center and at the time, we are gonna take you to the airport.
